bracelet for Yamuna

this is the first part of a bracelet i'm making for my friend Yamuna's birthday. it's all scrap metal wire, from my toolbox of bits and ends. i think it's galvanized steel wire, (the larger hammered bits) and then a thinner wire of some silvery metal sort. i'm thinking it needs some colour so i might weave some silk thread (salvaged from silk sarees) through it as well.

even snowflakes love her

tree mandalas

making and contemplating tree mandalas keeps me for uncountable hours. there seem to be all sorts of creatures in there. i am wondering how to coax these creatures from these static images into animations. i'm not sure how much detail will show in these reduce quality images, but if you look closely, the little details where the small branches come together are just amazing. the quality of the shapes and patterns are so original and purposeful.

more trees
